Compassionate & Knowledgeable Care for Your Pets

Burloak Animal Hospital was started by Dr. Wolfgang Zenker in May 1970. It has been in the current location and building since the fall of 1972. We have been an important part of the Oakville and Burlington, Ontario, area community for four decades and are happy to see and treat all species. Our veterinary team currently consists of four veterinarians who are supported by a dedicated team of health consultants, technicians, and animal care staff.

Community Involvement

Whenever we can, Burloak Animal Hospital loves to give back to our community in thanks for the ongoing patronage and support we receive. We participate in many functions held by the Oakville Milton Humane Society and other local rescue/animal support groups. We also host a number of pet seminars and information nights throughout the year in order to get personal with our clients and answer questions outside of the formal exam room.

Did you know we have provided animal care and treatment for all of the animals at High Park Zoo in Toronto for years? The zoo was founded in the early 1900s and, while they are a non-profit organization, they do accept donations toward animal care and grounds maintenance. The zoo houses bison, deer, llamas, peacocks, highland cattle, wallabies, emu, and sheep. Check them out!
